Sometimes
one recipe doesn't satisfy my cravings (or available ingredients), so I have
become a master mixer of recipes. That’s what happened last weekend. We had
some things and not others, so I combined two bomb recipes. I used the crust
and crumble from American Heritage
Cooking’s Salted
Caramel Butter Bars. I was sold on butter. Then I took the apple filling
from Salted
Caramel Apple Pie Bars from Sally’s
Baking Addiction, because I had the apples. The result was exactly what I
was wanting.
