Even though there was still snow on the ground, a great group of yelpers and their guests headed to the boardwalk and beach-front Caesars and Bally’s casinos for Spring Break Yelp-style in Atlantic City. We all partied hard and ate harder, trying out some of the most delicious bites of the casino strip in Atlantic City.

The festive activities commenced on Friday night with check-in, welcome packets and goodie bags filled to the brim with snackies, and a meet-and-greet with the tastes of Phillip’s Seafood. The happy-hour priced drinks were flowing and it was the perfect way to kick off a tasty and fun event.

The munching continued through a social media scavenger hunt featuring the eateries located in the two hotel-casinos, like The Continental (more later), Gordon Ramsay’s Pub & Grill (stay tuned for more), Boardwalk Cupcakes, and more. A board game themed party inspired by Atlantic City itself with some sweets and savories and an open bar was the culmination of the super spring break event.

My plus one and I definitely had a fun time checking out the view, playing glow in the dark mini golf, brunching and dining and grabbing additional bites from Buddakan (more about this later) and Empire Burger. We even gambled a little!

photo op: THROWBACK THURSDAY

Welcome to Throwback Thursday the Mexico Edition (WARNING: this post is photo heavy, but it's like taking a delicious vacation from your seat). I can’t believe it has been an entire year since I took my lovely vacation from the chilly Tri- State to the sunny city of Merida. It was my first sojourn to Mexico and I tried so many new things (eating and otherwise). I climbed like a zillion steps at the ruins, I tried sweet and salty street snacks, sampled so many different kinds of tacos, ate at an Argentinean steakhouse and one of the most modern restaurants in town, all while getting a taste for the Yucatan. My trip was amazing; good times, good food, and great friends!

Follow on facebook, instagram, twitter, yelp and pintrest to keep up with all the food adventures, maybe even some more #tbt moments!

So, you guessed it. I was on a mini hiatus because I was on a mini getaway. A getaway that involved stuffing my face, drinking my fill, a little cautious gambling and a lot of fun in Atlantic City, New Jersey. We stayed at Harrah's Resort for our trip, and never had to leave. The resort has all the things you really need on a short vacation; food, drink, nightlife, casino, shopping, food. Check out  some of the treats we had from the Pool and Bill's Bar and Burger (more food to come later). I apologize in advance for photo quality... these were taken with my phone as some places in the resort are fidgety about giant cameras.

Stay tuned for more food adventures at Harrah's in Atlantic City. Unfortunately, not all the gambling happened on the casino floor; luck with the food was sometimes like a roll of the die, draw of a card, or press of a button (at the penny slots).
